Privacy Policy

Effective: 22 July 2026

This is the personal blog of Ankit Sawant. This page explains what data is collected when you visit or subscribe, and the choices you have.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand aggregate readership — which posts are read, where visitors come from, and how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and related) and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type.

Google Signals is enabled. This means that if you are signed in to a Google account and have Ads Personalisation turned on, Google may associate your visit with your account to provide this site with aggregated demographic and interest reports (for example, age ranges and interest categories across all readers). I never see data about you individually, and this site shows no advertising.

Your choices:

Newsletter and membership

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by this site's publishing platform (Ghost, self-hosted) and used only to send you the posts and updates you signed up for. Emails are delivered via Mailgun. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from all future sends. If you want your email deleted entirely, reply to any newsletter email and I will remove it.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested) for security and operations. These are not used for profiling and are rotated automatically.

What this site does not do

  • No advertising, ad networks, or ad tracking pixels.
  • No selling or sharing of your data with third parties beyond the processors named above (Google Analytics, Mailgun).
  • No collection of sensitive personal information.

Questions

If you have any questions about this policy or want data about you removed, reply to any newsletter email or reach me via the links on this site.
